Ahoy!
Welcome to my little internet HQ. Here you will find details of my expeditions, talks and keep up to date with my latest adventures and campaigns.
In 2009 I rowed across the Indian Ocean. Alone: just me and my little boat, Dippers. A journey embodying commitment to life and survival in the elements, my row from Australia to Mauritius was dedicated to the memory of my Dad, Derek, who had died suddenly in 2006. On the way I broke 2 oars, ate 500 bars of chocolate and still lost 20kg bodyweight. It took me 124 days and we scooped a few Guinness World Records along the way: first woman & youngest person to solo the Indian; youngest woman to solo any ocean. It was raw and elemental - just as adventure should be. My first book ‘ A Dip in the Ocean’ will be published in February 2011 by Summersdale.
I am due to start my next major project ‘London to London:Via the World’ on April 1st 2011, from Tower Bridge, London. Click here to find out more.
All salty best,
